📱 Staying Connected
You can buy a local SIM card (Alô or CV Móvel) at the airport on arrival or in various shops around the city. 4G coverage is generally excellent in Praia.
💶 Currency & Payments
The local currency is the Cabo Verdean Escudo (CVE). It is pegged to the Euro at a fixed rate of 1 EUR = 110.265 CVE. Euros are widely accepted in many places, but change is usually given in Escudos.
